PROFILE: HUYE

Huye is a densely populated district located in the Southern Province of Rwanda. Known as an important cultural hub, Huye is home to the National Ethnographic Museum and the oldest university in Rwanda. However, the majority of families of school aged children struggle to meet the basic requirements for wellness and education due to material poverty. Families in this Huye sector predominately depend on small retail businesses and casual jobs to earn a living.

Africa New Life began serving alongside the Huye community in 2021. Sponsored students in this community attend local schools. Africa New Life Ministries is committed to supporting the community spiritually by building and leading a local church.
