Important Update
As Pastor Fred shared in the video above, we have a co-sponsorship model for students in Senior 1 (7th grade) through the end of our Dream Leadership Academy (gap-year program following Senior 6 / 12th grade) due to the higher costs of secondary education and boarding school in Rwanda. This model allows us to sustainably offset the costs of students’ education and to continue to provide them with quality support. For more information, please visit our FAQ page.
We invite you to choose one of the following options:
- Double your sponsorship support starting in March.
- Ask a friend or relative to co-sponsor with you. This gives you the opportunity to partner with someone you know and enjoy the sponsorship journey together.
- Continue your sponsorship as-is and we will find a co-sponsor for the student you sponsor. Having a co-sponsor will ensure that we are able to help meet students’ needs and reinforce the quality of their educational care.
You can also respond by emailing [email protected] or calling 503.906.1590. We will then be in touch with you regarding next steps.
We are aware that the first option may be a significant financial stretch for many sponsors. We ask that you prayerfully consider your decision and only increase your sponsorship support if you’re able.
Thank you again for helping students in Rwanda finish their secondary education well through sponsorship and prayer!
What is africa new life’s sponsorship model?
Africa New Life deeply values the relational impact of one-to-one sponsorship. Under our standard sponsorship model, each student in preschool through Primary 6 (6th grade) is paired with one individual sponsor.
Because the cost of secondary (high school) education and boarding school in Rwanda is significantly higher, we use a co-sponsorship model for students in Senior 1 through our Dream Leadership Academy. For these students, we invite sponsors to double their monthly support OR we pair students with a second sponsor.
This shared approach allows students to complete their education in a sustainable way while still maintaining a meaningful relationship with one or two dedicated sponsors.
