PROFILE: GASHORA

Gashora is a rural community surrounded by several lakes and among the poorest communities located within the Bugesera District. Families in Gashora predominately depend on fishing and farming to earn a living. However, due to prolonged droughts in the community, food scarcity is common and has adverse effects on child development and school attendance.

AFRICA NEW LIFE IN GASHORA

Africa New Life began serving alongside the Gashora community in 2021. Sponsored students in this community attend local schools. Africa New Life Ministries is committed to supporting the community spiritually by building and leading a local church.
