WHY SPONSOR A CHILD?
At Africa New Life, we believe that access to education is the key to helping children break out of poverty. For that reason, educational child sponsorship is the heart of our ministry. Today, more than 9,500 children are sponsored across Rwanda. Their sponsorship means they can attend school consistently and are equipped with the materials and support needed to succeed. By sponsoring a child, you help to break the cycle of poverty in Rwanda. You free a child to dream.
HOW SPONSORSHIP WORKS
Africa New Life has two top-priority goals for each child we work with: to help them complete high school or a vocational equivalent and to bring them into a loving relationship with and knowledge of Christ. We accomplish these goals through a variety of programs and ministry areas. Educational child sponsorship is the first step.
When you sponsor a child through Africa New Life, you provide for that child’s school fees, uniform, scholastic materials, and basic medical assistance. You also help provide monthly Christian day camps and a four-day Bible camp each fall, opportunities for your sponsored student to gather, celebrate, and learn with other sponsored students from his or her community.
Your relationship as a sponsor is critical in your sponsored child’s life. Your sponsored student and his or her family will love you, pray for you, and know you by name. You can get to know them better by writing to them, sending gifts through our Online Store, or even visiting them in Rwanda! You will experience transformation as you come alongside them and help free them to dream.
