Let Every Child Dream

MAKE A GENERATIONAL IMPACT

“I feel happy to be in a position where I can fend for my family and help children. For someone to tell me, “I am hungry,” and being able to help them, is a big deal… What I am able to do today can only be possible by the grace of God.”

—Varantine

THE POWER OF WOMEN

While educational sponsorship is at the heart of Africa New Life’s work, it takes a thriving community to transform the lives of young people in the long run. In many cases, building up a community begins with equipping its women to provide for themselves, their families, and their neighbors.

Training women in vocational skills is a key part of this vision. We have seen, time and time again, that when women are given the tools to improve their own circumstances, they go on to make a difference in more ways than we could have imagined. Many women who have graduated our vocational training programs later open their own businesses, enjoy a strengthened relationship with Christ, and provide safety, nurturing, and an improved future for their children and other young people in their communities.

Supporting women creates a generational impact. When you help equip women to thrive, you have the opportunity to see a story God is writing in each community, for entire families and the generations to come.

HOW WE HELP

THE NEED: 45% of Rwandans live below the poverty line. Women make up the majority of this population, stuck in a poverty cycle brought on by challenging life situations and barriers to education.

THE SOLUTION: We aim to offer women opportunities to improve their own lives. The Kigali Women’s Programs offer one-year vocational trainings to provide employable skills in sewing or cosmetology, alongside childcare for vocational students’ pre-school children, all infused with Christian discipleship. Each year these programs move 90 women and 40 of their young children toward a better life.
