Where there is no vision, the people perish…

If you would like more information about any of the following projects please contact Alan Hotchkiss alan@africanewlife.org

1. ANLM Children’s Home Support - Ongoing
Vision:  To provide housing, education, clothing,  food and nurturing for a group of 16 Orphans or Former Street Boys for an entire year
Status: 8 Groups of 16 children exist with  5 groups currently being supported.
Goal: Find Church/Organizations to sponsor the remaining 3 Groups
Cost: $11,100 per year or $925 per month for each group of 16 children.

2. Child Sponsorship Expansion  2010-2013
Vision: Changing the lives of Children in Rwanda is what ANLM is all about.  In just a few short years almost 2500 children have been lifted out of poverty and given the opportunity to take hold of their future through Education and Spiritual Training… But 2500 children is not enough.  Our goal between now and 2013 is to find sponsors for an additional 5500 children, most of who live either on the streets of Rwanda’s capital city of Kigali or in Kageyo, a remote refugee village the government has asked ANLM to assist with.
Goals: Grow Africa New Life’s sponsorship base from 2500-8000 by January 2013
Cost:  $469.000.  Still needed: $300,000

3. Street Children’s Ministry and Vocational Center  2010
Vision: Nearly 300 street boys come to our Kigali Dream Center campus twice each week to eat, bathe, wash their clothes and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Many of these boys are too old to follow ANLM’s traditional path of sponsorship by returning to school.  ANLM is helping these young men by training them in carpentry.  Last year 14 graduates from our program were able to get jobs in the construction field, pool their money and rent a home together.  When completed this facility will provide training for nearly 100 students at a time and a meeting place for the hundreds who depend primarily on ANLM for their physical and spiritual nurishment each week.
Goal:  To construct a center that will increase the number of Street Boys we are able to train from 14-100 each year.
Cost: $305,000  Still Needed: $230,000

4. Rwanda Evangelical School of Theology Construction  2011
Vision: To build an institution that shapes and forms the thinking of pastors nationwide by providing a legitimate BA in Theology through a modular accredited educational system.
Goal: To construct and educational facility able to house up to 200 pastors in training each year.
Cost:  $500,000. Still Needed: $125,000

5. Rwanda Evangelical School of Theology (REST) Infrastructure 2011
Vision: to staff and resource REST in a way that makes it sustainable and allows pastors to attend at a reasonable expense.
Cost: $84,000 per year or $7000 each month  Amount still needed for 2011: $39,000 or $3250 per month.
