Jovanus’ Surgery: MAY 18
Posted on 13. May, 2011 by Africa New Life in BLOG, NEWS, PRAYER
Raised in the poor village of Kageyo, Jovanus and his family never thought his disability could be fixed. This precious seven-year-old boy lives every day with deformed legs. His smile wouldn’t tell you that, though. He radiates joy…even despite his daily suffering.
As mission teams have visited Kageyo, this special boy captured the hearts of a few, who resolved to help this boy. Generous friends and supporters of Africa New Life have provided the funding for his surgery.
After months of x-rays and evaluations, Jovanus is ready for surgery.
On May 18, he will finally get help! For an impoverished refugee living in Kageyo, this is a miracle. Jovanus and his mother are now in Kampala, Uganda (Jovanus’ first experience in a BIG city!) awaiting the procedure. Wednesday, May 18 is a big day.
PLEASE JOIN WITH US TO PRAY FOR JOVANUS!
In the coming days, lift Jovanus up to Our Healer.
Pray:
- that God will guide the hands and minds of the doctors in Uganda who will be performing the surgery.
- for a successful surgery for Jovanus and for God’s peace to fill his body.
- for Jovanus’ mother who is undoubtedly nervous about this major procedure for her son.
- that Jovanus has a quick recovery as he endures physical therapy and learns to walk correctly.
